Banished Stone takes place in an isolated part of the Realm called the Ridge. Due to it's isolation from the main lands it has garnered a reptuation as a safe haven for criminals, however this may not be true.

Entering the Ridge is only possible through travelling a dangerous path along a narrow mountain pass, although it is rumored that the Company also has a secondary way in via a hidden port.
